  • Day 1

    Arrive Denver

Welcome to the Denver Colorado, the ‘mile high’ city and starting point for our ride through the many beautiful and intriguing places in the Rocky Mountains. We hope you are looking forward to a stunning U.S. Rocky Mountains motorcycle tour!

On arrival at Denver international airport, collect your luggage and take the shuttle to our airport hotel. Check in, drop your bags in your room and come on down to our welcome desk to meet your tour guides and finalize your tour paperwork with a few signatures. You’ll meet your fellow riders at our Welcome Dinner this evening, and be briefed by your tour guides about the adventure to come.

    Day 2

    Denver – Estes Park

    (105 miles)

Good morning, we hope you got a good night’s sleep. Have a good breakfast and get ready to go. Put on your riding gear and bring your luggage out to the support vehicle to be loaded. We will then check out our motorcycles and it’s time to get on the road and start our adventure! We head out of Denver and into the foothills and mountains. We ride along the front range through Evergreen and the historic mining districts of Blackhawk, central city and into Nederland for lunch via the scenic and twisty Peaks-to-Peaks Highway. After lunch it’s a short but beautiful ride into Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Time and weather permitting we’ll ride into the park and up Trail Ridge Road pass, the highest continuously paved mountain pass in North America.

    Day 3

    Estes Park – Casper

    (250 miles)

This morning we descend through the canyons and valleys to the foothills and into the great expanse and isolation of the rolling plains of Wyoming. Next stop, the Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow. This is a historic stop along the old Union Pacific transcontinental railway, Oregon Trail and Lincoln Highway. Then it’s back on the road to our overnight hotel in Casper.

    Day 4

    Casper – Cody

    (215 miles)

Today we continue through the hills and valleys of Wyoming. Keep your eye out for Pronghorn antelope as we ride through the former territory of Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid’s ‘Hole in the Wall’ gang. We’ll ride along Boysen reservoir and the Bighorn river through Teeter canyon to our lunch stop in the natural hot springs town of Thermopolis. After lunch we continue through bizarrely beautiful scenery to our overnight in Buffalo Bill’s historic Irma Hotel. Belly up to the historic bar for a beer, sit on the patio and watch the world go by in this historic old west hotel. Have a great dinner at one of the many downtown restaurants and have a good night’s rest. Your Rocky Mountains motorcycle tour continues tomorrow!

    Day 5

    Cody – Billings

    (250 miles)

Today we head east through the valleys and into Bighorn National Forest for a ride through mountains and forests. After a brief lunch stop in Dayton we travel northeast to Montana and Crow Agency. Here we take time to visit the infamous Little Big Horn, where General George Armstrong Custer and the 7th Calvary met their destiny on 25 and 26 June 1876 with the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes, most commonly referred to as ‘Custer’s Last Stand’. After learning all about one of the most famous battles in Western history we ride to our hotel in Billings.

    Day 6

    Billings – Yellowstone

    (180 miles)

We leave Montana behind us and head back into Wyoming by way of a fantastically scenic ride over the fearsome Beartooth Highway. This pass leads us into America’s first and possibly greatest national parks, Yellowstone! We ride through the northern section of the park, stopping along the way at many of its scenic overlooks and natural geysers and hot springs. Yellowstone is one of only a few super-volcanos in the world today, but don’t worry, it only erupts about every 600,000 years! We continue through the park to our hotel for two nights in West Yellowstone, where we can get a nice dinner and a good night’s rest.

    Day 7

    Yellowstone

    (free day)

Today, on your Rocky Mountains motorcycle tour, is yours to explore Yellowstone National Park as you wish. Why not head over to the main lodge and the ‘Old Faithful’ geyser, or ride around to the other various natural hot springs, geysers and thermal pools throughout the park. Keep your eye out for the park’s variety of wildlife including buffalo, deer, elk, antelope, wolf, and much more! Be sure to stop off at Yellowstone Falls, known as the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Whatever you decide to do, have a fabulous day in one of the crown jewels of America’s National Park system.

    Day 8

    West Yellowstone – Jackson

    (185 miles)

We leave Yellowstone behind us this morning and take our time riding south. Soon we arrive in Grand Tetons National Park, where we stop for lunch at Teton Village. Why not take an optional gondola tram to the top of the ski area for a fantastic view of the majestic Teton range. Then it’s back on our motorcycles to ride into the scenic and eclectic town of Jackson. Be sure to walk around Jackson town square, and enjoy the variety of restaurants, nightlife and shops. Just don’t over-do it tonight, we’ve got more amazing riding ahead of us tomorrow.

    Day 9

    Jackson – Heber City

    (285 miles)

It’s a change of scenery today. Our ride takes us through the small farming towns and valleys bordering Wyoming, Idaho and Utah. Flanked by mountains in the morning and then onto the plains in the afternoon, it’s a beautiful ride. Through all three states we’ll enjoy the scenery and the twisting and undulating roads until we get to our hotel for the evening in the typical Mormon small town of Heber City.

    Day 10

    Heber City – Moab

    (240 miles)

Today we head West over the Wasatch mountains and into Provo, then turn south onto US highway 6. We ride through the canyons along the Price River’s meandering path to our lunch stop in Price. Then we continue south into the bareness of the high desert, with mesas and mountains to our east. Following a break in Green River, we continue toward Moab. On our way we will stop at Arches National Park for a look at the wild variety of sandstone monoliths and natural bridges. Then it’s into town to enjoy dinner and a microbrew at one of Moab’s restaurants.

    Day 11

    Moab

    (Free Day)

This is action day! You can pre-book any one of the following adventures:

    • Hummer safari
    • Horseback riding
    • White water rafting
    • Hot air balloon sunrise adventure

And if you’re not interested in any of these activities take your motorcycle into Canyonlands National Park or Dead Horse State Park with their spectacular rock formations and colours, and incredible vistas.

    Day 12

    Moab – Glenwood Springs

    (245 miles)

This morning we start our day riding along the Colorado River, and then onto Interstate 70 into Colorado. Soon after, we take a small detour through Colorado National Monument and it’s incredibly scenic, twisty road. Then it’s into downtown Grand Junction for lunch. Afterward we ride back into the Rocky Mountains along the Colorado River, twisting and turning following its meandering flow. Before long we arrive at Glenwood Springs. There’s an optional ride to the east of town through Glenwood canyon on one of the world’s engineering marvels. The elevated highway makes its way through the narrow canyon, above the Colorado river. Or if you prefer, stay at our hotel and go to the nearby natural hot springs for a relaxing soak.

    Day 13

    Glenwood Springs – Denver

    (180 miles)

Our final day of the tour takes us through the heart of the Colorado Rockies and the famous ski town of Vail. Then (weather permitting) it’s up to the top of Mount Evans, the highest paved road in North America. From there we have a breath-taking view of the entire front range, and the peaks and valleys surrounding us. On a clear day it’s even possible to see the curvature of the Earth over the great plains. Finally, we make our way back to Denver, turn in our motorcycles and head to our downtown hotel for our farewell dinner. We really hope you have enjoyed a fantastic Rocky Mountains motorcycle tour.

    Day 14

    Depart Denver

There’s time for some last-minute shopping and relaxing. Denver’s 16th St Mall, just a short walk from the hotel, is a must. Then it is off to the airport and your flight home.
