Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Miami
This tour can be taken to coincide with Daytona bike week or Biketoberfest. Just ask us for our rally prices.
Welcome to Miami! Sunshine, blue skies and pleasant warm temperatures greet you. Relax after your flight, tomorrow the fun begins.
Day 2
Miami – Palm Beach
(140 miles)
Your motorcycle is only a short drive away, so after an early breakfast you’ll be ready to roll. The bright sunny weather is just for you! Today’s ride is quite straight-forward as you head north. Stop on the shores of Lake Okeechobee for an airboat ride and lunch, and then continue to West Palm Beach, sunshine and warm air all the way!
Day 3
Palm Beach – Daytona Beach
(200 miles).
A straight ride takes you to Daytona in the morning, giving you the rest of the day to discover Daytona and plan your time here.

Day 4-5
Daytona
(Free days)
A fantastic base for a number of exciting activities and rides. Your visit wouldn’t be complete without dropping into the Daytona International Speedway. If it’s not a race day, take a tour, ranging from a speedy 30 minutes to 3 hours. A ride out to the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral, just over an hour away (70 miles), is a must. Walking under the largest rocket ever flown, Apollo/Saturn V, is awe inspiring. If you enjoy the natural landscape visit the Ocala National Forest (55 miles away), worlds away from the full-on atmosphere in Daytona. This is the southernmost forest in continental USA and is the world’s largest continuous sand pine scrub forest, with more than 600 lakes, rivers, and springs, including three where you can swim, snorkel, and dive in the crystalline waters year-round. And then of course there is the beach for people watching and driving on!
Day 6
Daytona Beach – Orlando
(70 miles)
Head for Orlando. Time to visit one of the parks. Enjoy!
Day 7
Orlando – Naples
(220 miles)
Today’s ride takes you across to the Gulf Coast at Naples. Naples is the crown jewel of southwest Florida, nestled on the sun-drenched beaches of The Gulf of Mexico, a splash with water lovers and recreationists alike. There’s a nice relaxed feel to the resort after the buzz of Orlando and Daytona.

Day 8
Naples to Key Largo
(140 miles)
Your morning’s ride takes you through Everglades National Park. Covering over 1.5 million acres at the far south western tip of mainland Florida, the Everglades National Park protects the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. A fair portion of the park is actually underwater, and the entire Everglades ecosystem is basically a giant, slow-flowing river that is 50 miles wide, but averages only a few inches deep. The Everglades are under constant threat, yet seem to vibrate with life. Some 300 species of birds breed here, as do 600 different kinds of fish and animals, ranging from rare manatees to abundant alligators. Stop for a ride on the powerful swamp boats with their big V8 engine power, take a short trail and see how the local Native Americans lived in this fragile habitat. Your day ends at the ‘Gateway to the keys’ Key Largo, a great little town, host to the original ‘African Queen’.
Day 9
Key Largo to Key West
(100 miles)
Today you ride Highway 1. Nice and simple! All the way along the overseas highway (as Hwy 1 is known) the roadside is lined by marker posts counting down the miles from Florida City to Key West, addresses usually make reference to these numbers. The overseas highway is the very southern section of US 1, the historic route that winds for over 2,400 miles along the full length of the east coast. From its very inception, this highway has been unique.
The overseas highway now affords longer glimpses of water that shift from emerald green to azure blue. At mile marker 59 is the Dolphin Research Center – well worth the visit – President Carter, Jimmy Buffet, Arnold Schwarzenegger and numerous others have all swum with dolphins here. En route to Key West you cross dozens of bridges, pass over harbours, view the Atlantic waters on one side and the Florida Bay on the other. The Keys are as much Caribbean as Floridian, and you can’t get this far from the American mainstream without leaving the country anywhere else. Key West itself is quite unique, a laid back community, and still one of the most lively and anarchic places in the USA. Sights of interest ranging from Ernest Hemingway’s home and the famed Sloppy Joe’s Bar, to the Edison Home and a chance to get your photo taken at the end of the road, the southernmost point in the United States.
Day 10
Key West
(free day)
There are few places in the USA that are better for just relaxing and having a good time. So we thought we’d let you appreciate all that the Florida Keys have to offer.

Day 11
Key West – Miami
(170 miles)
There is simply no choice, you have to ride back along this amazing road, still one of HOG’s 10 best rides in the USA. You enter Miami through Coral Gables. Founded nearly 100 years ago (!) this is the ‘old money’ district of Miami, with an elegant Main Street and villas. Miami Beach is the “Miami” you know, a string of islands separating Biscayne Beach Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. A hundred years ago this was just a mangrove swamp until some developers dredged up sand from the ocean floor, paved the swamp and turned it into a tropical getaway. Now it is a restored Art Deco paradise. Due to heavy traffic, riding around in Miami isn’t a great idea, so return your motorcycle before your last night on Miami Beach, taking in the balmy breezes of the Atlantic Ocean and the wonderful collection of Art Deco buildings.
Day 12
Depart Miami
Flight time permitting, spend a little time strolling around South Beach in the warm sun.
