Itinerary
Day 1
Chiang Mai
Depending on your arrival time you will have time to relax and explore the city before this evenings welcome dinner and a visit to the night bazaar.
Day 2
Chiang Mai – Khun Yuam
(248 km)
Head out into the mountains, stopping at an elephant camp on the river, then a tribal village before lunch. Next stop is Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain at 2565 metres. On a clear day the view is spectacular. Head back down descending 2000m in less than 30km on a steep winding road to our overnight stop in Khun Yuam.
Day 3
Khun Yuam – Pai
(220 km)
After breakfast get back on your bike for a day of pure riding pleasure. Visit the village of Karen before continuing to a captivating stalactite cave. Reaching Pai in the late afternoon, offering time to explore the town.


Day 4
Pai – Tha Ton
(276 km)
Today, continue on a breath-taking route through the mountains of northern Thailand, the next 100km has more than 750 curves. From Chiang Dao travel along small roads, high up in the mountains adjacent to the border with Myanmar, to the mountain of Doi Ankang. Here you can visit a royal project where exotic fruit and vegetables are grown. Finish today on a steep decent down to the small town of Tha Ton.
Day 5
Tha Ton – Mae Sai
(125 km)
Experience a very curvy ride on small paved roads today as you ride alongside the Myanmar border. Stop at the fascinating Doi Mae Salong, a small Chinese village which is dominated in Chinese products and an unusual sight to see in northern Thailand. Continue your ride to the town of Mae Sai, which offers the opportunity to cross, on foot, into Myanmar to visit a local market.
Day 6
Mae Sai – Chiang Rai
(150 km)
After breakfast get back on your bike for a short journey to the Golden Triangle, formerly a notorious area due to the production of Opium. Catch a speedboat ride on the Mekong river to a small island, that belongs to Laos, and visit a local market. Visit the opium museum before the final journey, on good road, to Chiang Rai.


Day 7
Chiang Rai – Nan
(262 km)
A morning visit to the White Temple before riding one of the top 10 motorcycle roads in the world with great mountain views, little traffic and highlighting what Thailand has to offer. The overnight stop is Nan a town that has changed very little in the last 20 years.
Day 8
Another terrific riding day, surrounded by stunning landscape and lush green rice fields, before a stay in a beautiful resort at the foot of the third highest mountain in Thailand. Take a boat trip to a Buddha Island where you can get a little more familiar with Buddhist rituals.
Nan – Phayao
(250 km)
Day 9
Phayao – Chiang Mai
(205 km)
After a few kilometres make a stop at a beautiful waterfall before the journey back to Chiang Mai via some winding roads. Relax by the pool, or get some final shopping done before this evenings farewell dinner.


Day 10
Chiang Mai
Time to say farewell. You will be transferred back to the airport with great memories of this beautiful country.
